The 36th Street Garden Center fulfills every facet of your imagination, with more than 12,000 square feet of distinctive – and even unexpected – ideas, plantings and supplies for both the everyday and occasional gardener.  It is here that you will find the elements to create a dramatic landscape or subtle refinement to complement a single project or a season’s labor of love.  From eclectic gifts to unique flowers, 36th Street Garden Center is dedicated to becoming a refreshing source not only for enchanting products, but also for inspiration and knowledge.

Business Hours

The 36th Street Garden Center & 36th St. Bistro are open! Our hours are from Monday through Saturday: 9am-6pm and Sunday: 10am-5pm

LEEDing by Example

Visitors of the 36th Street Garden Center come to see the latest in new and beautiful home and garden decor, but they leave informed and educated about the Center and the building’s focus on sustainable living and sound environmental retail practice.

Manager Brenda Brien happily acknowledges the commitment to be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) will pay off exponentially in the future.

"We treat everything as a precious resource. For example, we only use the geothermal water when heat is needed."

Brien says the Garden Center aligns itself with vendors who adhere to stringent ecological business practices and methods, and practices a progressive recycling program." It all adds up to a new direction of energy-conscious buildings and retail services.
